Bottle. A jet black beer with a small, dense, tan head. Rather oily pour. The aroma has lots of licorice and molasses, with brown sugar, alcohol, coffee and some chocolate. Orange notes. Didn’t really catch the vanilla in the aroma, but it’s present in the flavor. Molasses, licorice, coffee, some orange zest and brown sugar. It’s quite sweet, with a decent bitterness. It’s full bodied, lightly warming, quite sweet and with a soft carbonation. Lasting sweet finish with lots of licorice and molasses. Some coffee and bonfire hints, and a touch of orange. A bit sweet, but sure nice. A beer that needs some time to down, but it’s a pleasant time. 170519

Coal black color (surprise) with no head. Good intensity in the aroma. Full body and a soft carbonation level. A bit over to the sweet side and a oily texture. Very thin mouth feeling for a beer at 10%. I would never have guessed that. Also a quite low complexity. Chocolate, vanilla and some licorice are the most prominent flavors. Also a bit fruity and some cold coffee. Well integrated alcohol, and actually quite boring.

Svart med høyt beige skum som ligger godt. Lukter havre, mørk sjokolade, kakaobønner, noe fruktighet ligger bak, skogsbær, vanilje og pære. Fyldig. Mer fruktig i smak enn lukt, salt lakris kommer inn, mørk sjokolade, nøtter, og alkohol. Middels lang,

Sampled from a bottle at Humle & Bier - Craft Beer Festival. Jet black body, dissipating tan-coloured head leaving clingy lacing down the glass. Plain dark malty aromas, hints of caramel and liquorice. Solid taste profile of dark malts, molasses, dark berries and prunes. Prolonged, warming finish. Oily plate. Full bodied. Great sipper qualities (Shared with Finn, Tromsø 17.03.2017).

Aroma kaffe, røsted malt. Utseende sort med beige skum som forsvant fort. Smak kaffe, alkohol, lakris, røsted malt. En kraftig og smaksrik øl. En del alkoholsmak. Veldig god stout
