Pigs Ear Day 4. Cask. Opaque black - brown beer, a few pale tan bubbles. Palate is slightly viscous, modest carbonation. Spicy licorice. Tangy dark malts and tangy dark fruits. Smooth semi dry finish. A notably licorice stout, bit tangy.

Gravity cask at Pigs Ear 2015 - London. Pours rich brown with a creamy, tan head. Ashy roast on the nose, baking cocoa, earth, faint rubber. Light to medium sweet flavour, with scorched earth bitterness, hard-edge ashy roast, old leather, a bit more rubbery aspect. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; OK condition. Dry and strongly bitter on the finish, with notes of dry chocolate, rubber, roast and earth. So so. A bit unbalanced.
