Pours brown from the bottle. Tall, foamy head that settles but lingers. Odd aroma for a porter, little chocolate or coffee, more like candied apple. Taste is sweet, with roasted flavors and notes of candy and caramel. Body is medium, carbonation moderate, good drinkability. Overall, and odd one. After being prepared to write this one off it grew on me. More like a dunkles than a porter though.

Bottle from Craftbeer-Shop.com. Hazy brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and a little roasted malt. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish. Weak. 251017

„Bremer Porter“ (4,5 %), Flasche (33 cl) von Bottles, Göttingen. - Dunkelkastanienbraun, trüb. - In der Nase Bitterschokolade und Kakao, eingebettet in aromatische obergärig-fruchtige Herbe. - Antrunk schlank dunkelmalzig mit herber Schokolade, Kaffee und milder krautig-fruchtiger Hopfenherbe. Wenig malzsüß, gut abgeschmeckt mit dezenter Säure. Durchschnittlich rezent, etwas dünnes Mundgefühl, angenehm mineralisch. Im Abgang milde krautige Hopfenherbe. - Ein wenig dünn aber sehr schmackhaft.

330ml bottle. Milky chestnut colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Grainy, strawy and grassy aroma. Taste is slightly dry, minimally sweet, nuttily malty, slightly grassy hoppy overtones; light, monotonous, hardly matching the style.

Bottle 330ml. @ home. [ As Union Bremer Porter ].ABV: 4.5%. Clear medium to dark red brown color with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, burnt, caramel, caramelized malt, burnt caramel - sugar, sweet malt, malt extract, sugary. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, malt bitter, caramelized malt, burnt malt - mest. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.
