bottle. don't buy this for your friend's christmas lunch, cause mine spilled over when opened, and that would potentially make your friend very sad when his fine food was soaked in beer. clear brown, almost no head. aroma of malts and a herballish sourish salty note that is very likely the licorice. nice and solid aroma for such a low abv. flavor is malty with licorice notes and also faint but it is there, smoked malty notes. Taste is real good, probably just as good as any other average danish christmas beer, but the abv is half or less. plenty of flavor for a low alc beer. the smoked note does, after some time, resemble a little bit burnt plastic, and i also get a citric note in there, as if some kind of acid preservative was used. In any case, you might get away with serving this as a lowish alc% beer. It is tastier than many of them.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear amber with an off-white head. Sweet, caramellish aroma. Rich, sweet, malty body - I never would’ve guessed the 2,7%. Hardly any traces of licorice at all, but there’s a solid bitterness. 271216
