Hot days and hard work. When you finally down tools and have a beer. That’s what Husk Saison is all about. The feeling of accomplishment rewarded by cold suds. This isn’t lawnmower beer though. This is from the old school, this is how the Belgians roll. Traditionally brewed during cold winter days to satisfy the thirsts of those working in the summer, this is a saison for the 21st Century.

Bottle thanks to Ol’ Dirty D. It pours clear golden - amber with a thick white head. The aroma is soft, sweetish, banana, nougat, cereal, candy, toffee and stone fruits. The taste is crisp, bitter, peppery spice, cereal, straw, banana, earth and bread with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. OK, but doesn’t stand out from the crowd.

Spicy floral mid with bubblegum esters emerging. Mild floral citrus on the backend. Dry spicy finish. Bit dry and lacks something to pull it all together.
