Blended from the oldest, most prized barrels of Ryewine in our cellars – then finished in French-oak-augmented American whiskey barrels– this well-oaked machine is a tower of texture with ribbons of spicy rye malt interwound with cherry, vanilla, caramel, and maple accents.

Can from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a slight tan head that didn't last at all. Aroma of dark toasted malt and whiskey. Full bodied. Not at all dry, but avoids sticky. It has some bitterness, but not necessarily from hops. Flavor is the malt and whiskey plus some vanilla, dark fruit and wood notes. Excellent sipper.

Might have liked this more than DBVSOJ but will need to do a side by side, hopefully I have a DBVSOJ left. So much chocolatey, caramelly, rye love.

Intense, sweetish and malty with loads of barrel, rye, bourbon, toffee, molasses, prunes, figs, raisins, syrup and caramely fudge, hints of stingy woody notes. Quite complex and tasty slow sipper.

Can. Pours clear mahogany, small beige head, good lacing. Aroma is treacle werthers, vanilla, toffee, bourbon. Flavor is fairly sweet, light bitter, bit of a boozy burn. Medium body, silky mouthfeel.

12 oz can from Half Time, 12/20/24. Medium-dark brown color with a light brown head that dissipates very quickly down to nothing. Rye / whiskey aroma with wood, caramel, vanilla, molasses, chocolate, and toffee. Just a big old punch of flavor. It's definitely boozy, but not as boozy as I expected. This is smooth as all hell as well. Really good stuff. 9/4/9/5/19

On tap at Revolution - Kedzie, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out spicy rye, caramel, bourbon, and dark sugars. Flavour is rich, with lots of bourbon barrels, caramel, dark dried fruit, and syrupy fruitiness. Intense, but refined and complex. Wonderful.
