Poured from a 16 oz can dated September 12, 2023. Aroma is very malt forward with rich caramel, toffee, toasted honey bread and graham cracker. Hints of herbal hops and alcohol notes. Pours a fairly clear, brilliant amber orange color with a medium sized, moderately thick, white head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers. Medium light lacing and faint legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with lots of caramel, toasted bread, and graham cracker malt notes. Medium high bitterness and hints of alcohol. Medium light herbal, woody hop notes. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation and a dry finish. Low, but present astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid marzen. Really nice malt profile, especially in the aroma. Perhaps a bit bitter and hop forward in the flavor.
