Based on a London Porter recipe from the 1800’s. Incredibly smooth with a very restrained roastiness when compared to modern Porters. All roasted character & dark color come from brown & crystal/caramel malt rather than roasted barley or black/chocolate malt.

Pint can shared by maniac at our 5/1/22 tasting. Clear dark red, large frothy tan head, good retention. Aroma of chocolate, roasted, and a lactic twang. Taste is roast, dark chocolate, minerals. Dry. Thin. Nice.

16oz can pours a translucent cola brown with a ring of creamy, beige head. Nose has cracker and brown bread, toast, some cocoa, brown sugar, cracker, earthy. Flavor is malty, crackers, bread crust, brown sugar, caramel. It's not at all sweet, it's medium bodied and dry and very, very drinkable.
