If you’ve been paying attention to the NorCal lager game then you know that Urban Roots makes one of the most perfect little Czech Lagers called 10 Degrees. It was to our delight when UR agreed to collaborate with us and make a 10 Degrees copy but through a German lens. The recipe is quite similar to 10 Degrees but with the subtle difference of employing German Tettnang and Mittelfruh hops. Otherwise, any other differences will be from the unique influences our breweries and brewers impart. Prost!

On tap at CHoP Oakland. Aroma is grain forward and a bit bready with light herbal, grassy hop notes. Hints of alcohol. Pours a super clear, yellow-gold with a medium small, thick, pillowy, white head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers. Moderately high lacing and super faint legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with medium light, bready grain notes. Medium low bitterness and hints of alcohol. Light woody, herbal, hop notes. Fairly dry finish. Mouthfeel is super light bodied and crisp with medium carbonation. Low astringency and faint alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid, crisp, dry, easy drinking pilsner with solid malt notes and balanced, but light hop notes. Super crushable and clean.
