We're bringing back our favorite (award winning!!) brew of the summer to add some tropical flavor to the Richmond winter. We made this juicy, dank NE-style DIPA with Nelson Sauvin, Citra, and Vic Secret hops to add intense aromas of white grape, passion fruit, and pineapple, while our favorite Norwegian kveik yeast contributes subtle citrus flavors.

Ridiculously hazy golden, straw and raw honey coloured body, with a very large, four to five centimetre tall tan, large-bubbled head that looks very ugly on top. Aroma of citrus, dry funk, yeast, white wine, flowers and some herbs, all with a relatively strong malt backbone and a noticeable hit of alcohol in the nose as well. Medium-bodied; Very rich, strong malt backbone at first, then a bunch of potent, well-formed hop complexities from citrus fruits to dryness, herbal flavours and especially a syrupy, resinous bite, all with a strong alcohol bite and a lot of unfinished sugars. Aftertaste shows the rich hop bite, but very smooth juicy and tropical fruit notes that couple up nicely - no super bitterness from the hops, just a light drying quality. However, the sweetness and resinous notes are very nice throughout and the subtle hints of white wine make this even more refreshing! A real winner here - great to sample fresh - try to find it if you like New England IPAs, as this one, almost on the 'Imperial' side of things is VERY nice! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 24-July-2020 for US$6,38 sampled at my house here in Washington on 10-August-2020.

$4.70 pint can, WW. Murky orange with a soft off-white head. Pineapple, green hops, light citrus nose, basement. Juicy orange, green hops, pineapple, mango, citrus peel. Very nice, damn. Juicy, but has some nice orange peel in the finish.
