Dank and Infused, a pretty proper name for this easy drinking and crisp hoppy lager. We saturated the kettle during the brew with Citra 702, a concentrated oil extracted from Citra hops by Yakima Chief in Washington. We then dry hopped Dank and Infused with more Citra, Strata and Peacharine – a new hop out of Freestyle Hops in New Zealand. We get notes of tangy tangelo, thai lime leaf and Mendocino outdoor buds.

On tap at Oakland CHoP. Aroma is moderately hop forward with nice citrus notes of orange, tangerine, grapefruit and some dank, resin notes. Light bready grain notes and hints of alcohol. Pours a clear, yellow-gold with a small, thick, pillowy, white head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers. Flavor is slightly sweet with medium light bready grain notes. Moderately high bitterness and light alcohol notes. Moderate citrus hop notes of tangerine, orange and grapefruit with some dank resin that lingers into the finish. Dry, crisp finish that accentuates the bitterness. Mouthfeel is light bodied and crisp with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid West Coast pilsner. Nice, citrusy, hop aroma and flavor with a crisp, dry malt profile. Enough bitterness that lingers into the finish to allow you to savor the beer and keep you from chugging it.
