Can at home in London - picked up at the London Brewers’ Market. Pours clear, Richy reddish gold with a dense, creamy off-white head. The nose holds well toasted malts, ripe citrus, orange rind. Light to medium flavour with some caramelised sugars, mild flinty minerals, toasted grains, more rindy orange. Medium bodied, lightly chewy and oily, with massaging carbonation. Resinous finish with some gooey pine, more toasted malts, a little toffee, minerals, dried citrus fruits. Sort of an old-school IPA. In the that regard, it’s alright.

Can. Hazy amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is airy and fairly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Airy malts, light dry cream and a little tangy caramel. Also an unexpected whisper of roasty bitterness. Smooth pine start to the hops. A little ripe orange and marmalade. Light semi dry finish. Not bad, just that roast is a little jarring.
