16 oz can from Elder Pine, via jcos, 6/6/22. Listed at 6.4% on this can, but everything else is the same. Pours dark brown with a fizzy light brown head. Whiskey and wood are dominating everything here. The base beer is pretty much gone. Maybe a rye and spice, but it's pretty much all barrel. Maybe this was a less successful batch, or this beer may have been too delicate for the strength of the barrel used here, but for me it didn't really work, way too unbalanced.

Roast and rye. Light barrel. Great balance. Some dark chocolate and coffee. Complex and superior. Black pour with great cascading mocha head, decent lacing. Bitter finish
