Keg at Beerheadz, Nottingham. Deep almost black colour with a tan head. Aroma and taste are roasted malty with an earthiness from the infused dandelion root. Full smooth body.

Tap at the tap. Aroma has a sour Sherry tinge to creamy coffee and flowers. Dark. A red tint. Thick creamy beige head. A creamy coffee roasty core. There is then a sour slight vinous edge with a sweet streak... so I'd associate that with Dandelion and Burdock so presumably that's the big D. The sourness is more prominent into the finish. Medium-heavy bodied. Creamy. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. Mixes a creamy stour with the foraged and Brett elements a smooth effect.

13/1/2019. Bottle from Honest Brew. 7.3% abv. Pours black with a tan coloured head. Aroma of dark chocolate, malt, coffee, touch of rum cake, dried fruit, toffee, light pepper and a hint of liquorice. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Towards full body, smooth slick texture, slightly fizzy carbonation. Finishes with increasing bitterness. Good brew, and just a shame the level of carbonation was high as it detracts the enjoyment a little, otherwise it's very nice.

Almost opaque dark brown beer, patchy pale tan head. Palate is light, semi dry and has reasonable carbonation. Modest dark malts, mild dark chocolate. Very light spice. An amusing light fruity floralness on the back end. Hides the abv well and is quite drinkable.
