Jason Oliver has returned to brew another beer especially for us, this time at Caledonian Brewery, in Edinburgh. This golden beer has a fresh, grainy, floral fruit aroma, leading to tangy tropical citrus notes in the flavour and a solid, bitter, hoppy finish.

Hops: Bravo. Brewed for JDW.

Cask @ Beckett’s Bank, Leeds. Tawny golden colour with a small creamy head. Crisp and hopped, with a topical fruit aroma and taste, although a level of maltiness subdues this to an extent. Fairly smooth tasting.

Cask at Victoria Station Spoons. It pours clear amber with a medium, bubbly white head. The nose is biscuit, toasted grain, cereal, Caledonian yeasty action and toffee. The taste is clean, bitter, earthy, biscuit, toffee, cereal, grass, light spice and some florals with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. A pretty drinkable bitter, but far from "session ipa". Not bad.
