Cask at the King and Castle, TTC, 02/04/16. Golden amber with a well appointed off white covering that retains well. Nose is juicy citic peel, mandarin, light floral notes, orange rinds. Taste comprises caramel, light bread, melon, straw, citric zest. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a juicy hop rinse. Solid Oakham affair ... not sure Iād have this as a bitter mind - more a golde or an amber bearing in mind the hop content.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol March 2016. Amber in colour, with a slight, white, head. Hoppy aroma, with some citrus fruits. Flavour had sweetish, biscuity malts, more citrus fruit and a decently bitter bitter finish. Enjoyable.

Cask at the Hope Tap, Reading. Clear golden-amber with a loose off-white head. Lots of tropical fruit, a bit of biscuit and some lemon. Moderate crisp bitterness. Yet another good beer from Oakham- balance is spot on as always, although maybe the flavours are not quite up to their best.

On cask @ the Standing Order. Appearance - golden with a nice head. Nose - lemon, grapefruit, something resembling ginger. Taste - grapefruit and lemon pith. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry bitter finish. Overall - this is typical Oakham as it pushes the bitterness to the edge of what is still balanced. Good though.
