Can in the garden, heat wave pre BBQ, 9th May 2020. Even my wife liked this one, so had to share it. Poured with a huge white growing head, mostly clear beer. Aroma is light floral and spice, bready. Taste is floral, spice and coconut, sweet notes, yeast, bread, nice hops, almost an IPL. Would have liked more bitterness, but it’s a very interesting beer.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours clear amber with a thick, bubbly white head. The fresh, spicy, grass, cereal, toasty grain and farmhouse brown bread. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter - sweet, spicy, nutty almost, earthy, doughy bread, toasted cereal, grass some underlying sweetness, crunchy nut, clove rock and a touch of nougat with a drying and spicy finish. Medium body and moderate+ foamy carbonation. A good depth of flavour for the style. A rich and robust spicy lagerbier.

Can, picked up at the brewery. Also multiple pours at the brewery. Medium gold, with a faint haze. Thick, fully lacing, lasting, white head. Nose has sweet and lightly spicy malt. Whiff of smoke. Grassy hop. Privet leaf. Taste is on the sweet side, with just a moderate, leafy bitterness. Light to medium body. Fairly oily. Foamy carbonation. Stays a little sweet on the finish, with more leafy bitterness. Decent variation on Donbacher, but quite a bit sweeter, and for me a tad less chuggable.
