HAZY IPA collaboration with CELLARMAKER
A beer to honor friendship and pizza. Come with us and celebrate the world’s most logical food and beverage pairing with a pint of Pizza Pals.
At Fort George, we’ve been making wood fired pizza for over a decade. In San Francisco (the home of our friends at Cellarmaker brewing Company), you can get the best of almost anything. That’s what you get when you cram nearly one million people into a city that measures less than 50 square miles. You’ll find great pizza and excellent IPAs all over the Bay Area and Cellarmaker knows a lot about both.
Pizza Pals is the perfect beer for pizza: A super opaque, pale yellow hazy IPA. Dense guava and overripe fruit aroma, flavors of candy melon and orange zest with a smooth, soft bitterness and mild, comforting sweetness.
Hops: Simcoe, NZ Cascade, FS Nelson, Hollingberry Galaxy
Malts: Rahr Pilsner, Rolled Oats, Linc White Wheat, Weyermann Acidulated
Yeast: Hazy Chico

Aroma has notes of cantaloupe, biscuit, citrus rind, peach. Taste has a light to moderate bitterness, finishing dry, and citrusy, piney hop flavors.

16oz can from Tavour. Pale, hazy yellow pour, fine fizzy head. Aroma is grapefruit peel and lemon rind. Taste adds a touch of pineapple to the aforementioned citrus, zesty, tangy, leaves a buzz on the palate. --- Beer merged from original tick of Pizza Pals on 29 Dec 2023 at 01:57 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 10 | Overall - 8. Can from Tavour. Pours hazy gold with a small white head. Aroma is citrus/melon. Med body or better. Dry and herby bitter. Not the NEIPA I expected. Melon, citrus and green guava. Or weed? Not really dank tho. Whatever it is, it has good flavor. Excellent with smoky cheese.

Pine and lemon. Some green onion. Hazy orange pour with decent head. Better than some of their other hazies, nowhere near as good as their west coast IPAs. Can.

On tap pours out hazy golden topped with a white head. Nose is nice big dank floral hops citrus. Taste is more of the nice dank floral citrus hops. This is great.

Can. Pours a somewhat murky golden hue with a medium white head. A sweet big citrus, resin nose. Rich, lots of fresh citrus, oranges, lemon, a earthy dry malt finish. Very good. Matt got a bad version, this is really nice. --- Beer merged from original tick of (collab with) Cellarmaker Pizza Pals on 20 Dec 2024 at 09:42 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8.5. On tap at Chuck's Greenwood, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma reveals dusty, earthy hops, a touch of citrus zest, and moderate chalk. Flavour is earthy, with muted hops, some pith, and bready malt. The hops are pretty muted but at least there's little hopburn. Meh.
