Draft. A black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, whiskey, alcohol, and prunes. The flavor is sweet with notes of iodine, roasted malt, alcohol, and spices, leading to a dry alcolic finish. Too much.

Tap @ Taphouse, Copenhagen. Black without head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, vegetables, peat and heavy glue. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Sweet and rather bitter finish. Not good. 250618

Tap. Leeds International Beer Festival. Very dark, cola brown. Slim ring of tan head. Well it smells a lot like Islay whisky. Peat and TCP. Scorched wood. Tobacco leaf. Taste is all of that and more. Big, sweet, and phenolic. Some woody, earthy bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel. More of the Islay character to finish. If you like Islay malt, you'll love this. I don't, particularly, but it was still pretty easy drinking.
