Delicious peppery and spicy Ruby Rye ale. As this is our brewer Ben's first brand new recipe for Mad Cat Brewery we have named the brew after his cat, Emotional Blackmail or 'Mo' for short. You'll have to ask him why he called his cat Emotional Blackmail, but we thought it made a quirky name for his first beer with us.

Clear mid brown colour lastingbeige head. Some ale esters some fruit berry and hedgerow. A fairly typical best bitter. A bit fruitier than most good autumnal fruits. Light bitterness on the finish. Decent condition and temperature cask handpull County Hotel JDW Ashford

Gravity cask from their stall at Sandwich food and drink festival, 18/05/19. Light reddish amber with a decent off white covering. Nose is biscuit, dried fruits, light herb. Taste comprises raisens, light spice, malt loaf, faint dried red berries. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Ok.

Cask in KEGS. Clear amber, small pale tan head. Smooth and semi dry palate, decent fine carbonation. A little cream in the malts. Ripe citrus, quite tangy. Light dry finish. Nothing here to stop it slipping under the vast ocean of UK cask beer mediocrity.
