Cask (gravity) @ NBF 2015 [ The 40th. Nottingham Beer Festival (The 8th Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival) ], Nottingham Castle, Friar Lane, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England NG1 6EB. [ As Pig Iron American Pale Ale ].Clear medium amber orange color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fruity malt, earthy - black currant notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, earthy - black currant - fruity, pale malt - caramel, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20151007] 6-3-6-3-11

Cask at the Bell Inn, Brierley Hill. Pours dark orange with a medium head. Aroma is caramel and tea. Taste is bready caramel and tea. Poor.

Oldham Beer Festival 2016. Amber coloured ale. Metallic sweet bin its nose, with an ordinary sweetness in taste with some fruit.

Gravity cask at Nottingham festival 2015. Deep clear golden color, fluffy white head. Aroma of peppery lemon. Taste is lemon.

11th July 2015: cask half-pint at 4.5% ABV with a pump clip that states it’s an APA. Amber with a white head, malty lead in both the aroma and taste with a healthy hop content just behind the malts. Decent.
