This review was imported from my RateBeer ratings.

12 oz. can, 7.0% ABV, 75 IBU, Canned on: 02/03/23

AROMA: I'm first hit with fair amounts of orange and pine resin. Which is then followed by hints of bread and tangerine. All-in-all a citrus-forward aroma that is very inviting.

APPEARANCE: Pours a slightly hazy, light golden brown with a medium-height head that has a tight, white, froth that dissipates slowly with very good lacing.

TASTE: On the front-end I briefly get citrus sweetness of orange/tangerine but then that quickly turns to slightly bitter pine resin. The finish adds even more bitterness that slowly fades away.

MOUTHFEEL: Medium body that feels fairly dry on the palate. Which, to me, seems a little out of place with the citrus aroma that (usually) coincides with smoother texture. Carbonation seems average, or maybe even just slightly above that.

OVERALL: This is another one of those beers that I just bought on a lark and really had no expectations, good or bad. I liked the initial citrus flavor, but I was a bit disappointed that it didn't stick around long and was quickly (and completely) replaced with one-note bitterness. I probably would have enjoyed it more if the citrus had melded into the bitterness more gradually. Instead, it was more like throwing a switch ... here's your sweet ... ... here's your bitter. I also would have enjoyed it more if there were other bitter flavors (e.g. grapefruit, juniper, etc.) in the mix, rather than just the one (i.e. pine resin). Having said that, I can honestly say that I would buy this again. Granted, this is not going to be a regular beer for me, but there is just something about it that I find alluring. Especially, for those times that I want something on the bitter side. And the 7% ABV doesn't hurt either.

I would like to point out that the listing here on RateBeer says that it is 90 IBU. However, the box that the 6-pack came in says that it is 75 IBU. Based off of my experience with other beers, I would say the 75 IBU rating is the more accurate one. The 90 IBU beers that I've had, are WAY more bitter than this one.

12 ounce can from my hotel. 6/21/22. New brewery! Brewery #2057. USA #1658. Florida #31. Canned 5/26/22, so less than a month old. Hazy amber, large frothy tan head, good retention. Aroma of floral, green hops, citrus, pale malt. Some peach in there too. Taste is melon, tangerine, dank, resin. Moderate bitterness. Nice. This and a Jai Alai are doing well with a nice bitter end to an arduous day.

16 ounce can. Hazy orange gold pour. Frothy beige head. Fragrant citrus hop aroma. Notes of orange and grapefruit. Flavor follows nose with added notes of pine and grapefruit pith. Becomes increasingly bitter with each sip. Finishes with bittersweet, dryish, peppery notes.

Sample at the Center Street Market taproom. Clear orange-gold color with a medium bone white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lace. Aroma of floral hops, citrus and malt. Medium body with flavors of floral hop, grapefruit and bready malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Above average overall.
