33cl bottle @PBF X. Pitch black color with a thick espresso head. Licorice, strong roastedness, sweet bready aroma. Flavor has roasted malt, ash, hops, licorice, strong coffee notes. Surypy sweetness I don’t like in Imperial stouts.

Bottled at Petalax Beer Festival, thanks fombe89! Very black, small beige head. Concentrated aroma of licorice and coconut. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Coconut, coffee, treacle and chocolate brandy. Sweet, heavy warming stuff, still harmonious. Long bitter finish

At ACBF. Creamy, deep beige head, black colour; sweet heavy stout character, raisins and candied dates, chocolate sauce, liquorice, coffee; sweet onset, very thick and rich, candied fruits, deeply chocolatey, spicy notes, liquorice, long complex finish of coffee- and bitter chocolate-like roasted malts, spicy hop touch and some warming, sherry- or bourbon-like alcohol. Really impressive, especially considering it comes from a country which has seen its first real craft breweries only very recently.
