Cask at the North Riding Brew Pub, Scarborough. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma and taste are sweet roasted coconut.

Deadication brew to Sun Yat-sen, former President of the Republic Of China, died on this day. If he liked coconut he'd probably enjoy this. Its strength is relatively low so it's not overbearing coconut, but that's about all to be found here.

[ As North Riding (East Ayton) Coconut Porter ].Clear dark black brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coconut, licorice, dark malt. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, coconut, chocolate, roasted, soaft licorice, late finish licorice notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20151007] 7-4-7-4-15

Gravity cask at Barrel Drop. Very dark clear maroon brown color, beige head. Aroma of burnt espresso and coconut. Taste has dark coffee and coconut. Interesting.
