Draft sample at the brewery. Pours clear gold with a bubbly, white head. This is a big boy. Definitely some alcohol kick, a bit of honey, rich bread. Punchy. Full bodied with fine carbonation; and oily. Warming finish with bready malts, ripe fruits, booze and mild caramel. Tasty but perhaps a bit too bold.

(2011 vintage) Crimson pour, not much head. Nose has a dessert wine, creamy caramel and sweet corn with a touch of whiskey. Sweet, really refined taste. You get this oxidized tongue coating brandy or scotch. Mild burn at the finish. touch of rice and really sweet with a tough olive oil.

Batch 002 bottled about 2011. Clear amber/ red hue. No head. Aroma is dark fruit, sugar candy, plum and dates. I LoVE my barely wines slightly oxidized. The flavor is smooth and sweet with a mild sugary hint in the finish. ABV is nowhere to be found with a slick mouthfeel. A nice treat split with friends.
