Bottle. Aroma is sweet, Stille Nacht style. Dark fruity, boozy. Taste is good. Malty, sweet booziness, nice. Lost a bit as it warmed though. --- Beer merged from original tick of (collab with) Cornelius Wines Damn Dirty Ape on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:05 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 9 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7. Bottle. Hazy orange-amber colour. Aroma dried fruits, caramel, considerable English-style hops character. Taste is caramelly, light warm alcohol, dried fruits. Finishes earthy, grassy, hoppy. Good one, maybe a bit too hoppy for me.

Bottle thanks to BenH. It pours hazy golden-amber with a medium Tellier-white head. The nose is rich, hot cross bun, honeyed grain, brioche, earth, pear drops, toasted sugar and fruit loaf. The taste is bitter-sweet, spicy, fruit cake, resin, earth, warming alcohol, rye bread, candied peel, musty and umami with a lingering, warming finish. Full body and fine carbonation. Thankfully not overly sweet. Rich and decadent.

Bottle shared at the Kernel - thanks to Ben. Pours hazy gold with a goamy, white head. Rich bready malt aroma with notes of candied sugars, caramel, dates and golden raisins. Big sweet flavor with some doughy pale bread, light alcohol, apricot, more dates, light hay bitterness. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming finish with sticky sugars, kild grassy bitterness, ripe fruita, more golden raisins, white bread. Somewhat hefty but still pretty drinkable.
