Cask @ Shrewsbury Real Ale Festival, July 2018. Pours misty gold, hoppy fruit nose. Taste presents a soft fruity golden ale with some pleasant exotic citrus moments, though not enough to really make this stand out.

Cask at the Euston Tap, East Lodge, 05/04/17. Golden with a decent white cap. Nose is mellow citric peel, melon, straw, orange, bread dough. Taste comprises tangerine, melon, white grape, straw, toasted grains, airy malts. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with moderate hop bitterness. Easy drinking cask affair ... pleasant enough but doesn’t deliver the hop bite I crave from this style.

Cask (gravity) @ Barrel Drop, 7 Hurts Yard, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England NG1 6JD. [ As Black Iris Ngaru Nui ].Light unclear medium yellow color with a small, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fruity malt, moderate hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, flowers, zest. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, flowers, citrus, zesty. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20161011] 7-2-7-4-15

Cask-conditioned, on gravity at the Bristol branch of the Brewhouse & Kitchen November 2016. Pale gold in colour, with a slight, white, head. Aroma of tropical fruits, grassy hops and sweetish malts. Flavours had plenty more pineapple and mango fruit and biscuity malts, before a gentle, warming, finish. Enjoyable.
