Cask at the Peterborough Beer and Cider Festival 2024 with Grumbo and ITFCDan. Aroma is piney, fruity, grape, chocolate and citrus. Good body that really allowed the aroma to follow through. A very good example of a Black IPA.

Cask pint (Adibeer style) at Queen Vic, Aberdeen. It pours pretty much black with a big bubbly tan head. The aroma is bright and great, has a nice fruity character (both tangy citrus and dark fruits like plum), orange marmalade, gummy candy, toasted pine, dark chocolate, jammy, rocky road and touch of liquorice. The taste is firmly dry, pleasing and lingering bitterness, dark roasted malt, charred, toasty, touch of liquorice/umami, toasted pine, pithy, zesty, decent citrus character, dark fruits, cacao nibs and some peppery spice with a lingering bitter, dark roasted finish. Medium body and well appointed cask carbonation. Flavourful and satisfying. The more I drink of it he more I love it. Grate.
