Amber with a foamy and sticky white head. Dank aroma with grapefruit, peppermint and mango. Taste is moderate bitter the whole way through. Medium-bodied, quite dry, slightly watery texture. Fails to feel refreshing with its dryness and chalky bitterness, but not unpleasant.

440ml can. Slightly cloudy, dark yellow-ish, golden colour with average, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Slightly zesty, citrusy fruity and resinous, piney, hoppy aroma, pale malty background with weak, bready-spicy touch, notes of orange, grapefruit, orange peel, some woody pineapple, whiffs of liquorice and rubber. Taste is bitter, citrusy fruity and resinous, piney hoppy, pale malty basis with very low residual sweetness, notes of grapefruit, orange, orange peel, some lemon peel, zesty bitterness, weak liquorice overtones. Oily-watery texture, dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Nice, old school (or classic) West Coast IPA.

473mL can courtesy of Erik (thanks!), pours a clear pale golden with a medium white head. Nose brings out somewhat herbal hops, a touch of pine, light melon, and biscuity malt. Flavour doesn't have the best hop expression -- fairly herbal, dull and earthy, with a touch of pine. Finishes crisp and gently biting. It's not bad, but it's pretty underwhelming and doesn't exude the best hop character.
