Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 23/06/22. Mahogany brown with a beige cap that clears edgewards. Nose is smoked malts, vinous, stewed fruits, dates, toffee, bonfire. Taste comprises dark malts, spice, herb, lighter smoked presence than the nose suggested, caramel, tannins, damp oak, dried fruit rinds, burnt toffee. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent complex smoked affair.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a brown orange with a bubble ring. Aroma is smoky, woodsy, sherry, char. Taste is burnt woods, smokey, oak, malty, sherry boozy. Very interesting take on this style.

Sample, thanks Grumbo. Hazy, dirty brown, smaller beige head, not so lasting. Medium smokey nose, some bacon and quite a bit more wood, some sweet berry notes, a bit of alcohol. Nice on the nose. Medium bitter, some soury fruity presence, a bit of wood. Nice. Light body. Nicely drinkable actually.

27/12/2021. Bottle with ITFCfan & ITFCDan at the post-Christmas blues share. Bought direct from the Brewery. Pours hazy dark amber brown with a frothy off-white head. Aroma is smokey, woody, sherry, citrus, raspberry, grape, touch of peat, yeast. Moderate sweetness and bitterness with a tart edge. Medium body, oily texture, average to soft carbonation. Dry woody gently tart finish. Enjoyable.
