Characteristic & Finish - full bodied, earthy and smooth, fruity finish.
Serve & Pair - chill briefly and serve with rich dark dishes strong in flavour.

Bottle bought from the brewery stall at Bury St Edmunds Crafters Market (pr whatever it's called). The first time I passed by there was no-one on the stall. The second time, mybson was pallong my arm, shouting, "No more beer, Daddy," but I managed to shrug him off. This was a lively one - i had to scarper over to the sink but managed to avoid too much gushage. Opaque chestnut brown. Thick foamy off-white head soon recedes. Aroma has spice and rye. Big malts. Underlying caramel. Peripheral bitterness. Chewy. Rye bread. Spice. Berries. Caramel hints. A soda water gaseous streak which detracts from the positives. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. After making a decent initial impression it then.gets a tad watered down. Edit: it occurs to me that the letter element may be intended to represent those at sea, so a higher score may be warranted.

Bottle shared with and courtesy of Grumbo with ITFCDan. This was very lively when opened and took a very long time to settle. Best was yo describe it was like a champagne bottle. Aroma of caramel, malts and nuts. The taste is malty but is watery, as a result of the pour there were bits in the glass. A bit disappointing.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 03/01/22. Reddish amber with a light beige cap. Nose is biscuit, caramel, dried fruit notes, sugars. Taste comprises candied fruit peel, caramel, sweet malts, red berry notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a modest bitter edge. So so.

30/10/2021. Bottle shared with ITFCfan and ITFCDan. Bought direct from the brewery. Opened with a huge gush. Pours clear dark amber with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of malt, toffee, fruit, nut, prune. Moderate sweetness and light bitterness. Moderate body, oily watery texture, soft carbonation. Bit stewed but not bad.
