Ursprünglich gedacht für die kalte Jahreszeit, erweist sich unser dunkles Sweet Stout auch als perfekter Begleiter für die dunklen Abend- und Nachtstunden – vor allem wenn die „Dark Side of the Day“ länger dauern darf oder soll.

(bottle, 33cl) Ruby brown colour with a beige and short foamy head. Sweet and slightly dark malty aroma with notes of dextrose, cassis, blueberry, also hints of shoe shine. Moderately sweet and delicately bitter flavour, rather light bodied with a tame carbonation. Initially mildly sweet dark malt character with tart berry-fruity notes and traces of dark chocolate; slim and mildly sweet and fruity tart finish. Better than expected. 05.IX.17

Bottle brough back from 'Marken-Erlebniswelt', Bitburg brewery, thanks to mom and dad!
Pours cloudy black with a small, frothy, beige head. The aroma contains mocha, milk chocolate, roasted malt, brown sugar & caramel, roasted nuts, herbs, blackcurrant. It tastes light to medium caramelly sweet, hint of chocolate, and light roasted bitter, light sour back (dark berries). Herbal hop finish, dryish, bit roasted (fondant), slightly metallic. Medium body, slick/oily texture, lively carbonation. Disappointing palate, overall okay, lacking some punch.

Pours very dark brown, almost completely black and topped with a minimal tan head. Sweet nose where berries are in front, some mild vanilla and coholate in teh back. Taste starts sweet, a bit fruity going into medium sparkly bitetry feel and finishing with sweet feel again. A bit roasty in the aftertaste, light body. Nothing special really.

330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with average, firm, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Grainy, malty aroma, a touch of straw and spelt, hints of treacle. Taste is dry, minimally mineral and metallic, grainy and strawy, a sugary touch, very cautious hints of liquorice and treacle. Probably hued, chintzy fake Stout.
