Tried at the Cardinals Hat, Lincoln. Deep reddish brown colour with a thick tan head. Aroma berries, chocolate and fruity bread. Taste light toffee sweet. Medium body soft carbonation, making a smooth creamy body.

[ As Stancill Porter ].Clear dark red brown color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, dark malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, roasted, sweet malt, grassy, hop bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. Cask at Cask Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico, London. A dark brown coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Roasty, malty, caramel aroma. Tastes similar, roasty, malty, caramel, not much going on in this one but it is passable.

Cask at the CP&K, 25/08/16. Mahogany brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is lightly roasted malts, red berry whisper, light cocoa, fruit loaf. Taste comprises biscuit, toffee, sprinkle of cocoa, earthy fruit esters. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, drying close. Average ... A bit too thin and watery and lacking in flavour.

Cask @ Duck & Drake, Leeds. Dark copper-red with a thick creamy head. Malty, crisp, with some bread and grain evident. Not a typical porter.
