My German didn't fail me before this one so the expected honey was immediately evident in aroma, better in taste, and best in aftertaste - also hoppiest in the first instance. It does detract from the weizen style though, which becomes an afterthought with this brew. Pretty decent regardless, especially when you include the smooth texture.

On tap at Toms Tap, Crewe. Pours a hazy golden yellow with minimal off-white head. There’s honey and malts in the aroma. In the mouth it is quite sweet but not overly so, with flavour of Honey, continental hops, yeast and cloves. Finish is slightly dry. This is decent.

23/1/2021. Fresh crowler shared at the first Ipswich Lockdown 3.0 virtual bottle share. From Tom's Tap & Brewhouse, Crewe. Pours hazy orange gold with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is sweet, banana, herbal, coriander, touch of honey and perfume with a slight singed edge. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Sweet finish. Not bad, though not a style I'd normally seek out.
