11/2/2022. Cask at the 12th Elysian Winter Beer Festival. Pours clear dark bronze brown with a frothy off-white to grey head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, citrus, dried fruits, berries. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness, slight berry tartness. Moderate body, slightly oily, soft carbonation. Pretty decent.

Handpull cask at the Grain & Hop Store, Cambridge. Mid to dark brown with a ruby tint, very translucent. Nice tightish khaki head and lots of lacing. Liquorice and spice but also some odd metallic smells. The taste is sweet at first, turning to bitter, not all that engaging but certainly refreshing. Salad leaves in the aftertaste. Enjoyable enough, but there are too many odd twinges in the recipe.

Cask @ Navigation Tavern Beer Festival, Mirfield. Very dark clear copper with a smooth head. Light textured and smooth in the palate with some sweetness in aroma and taste. A good session ale.
