Made for long, sunny days, lounging with friends. This young foudre beer displayed a classic Witbier character, so we conditioned it on yuzu juice and fresh basil to create a bright, fragrant thirst-quencher with subtle complexity.

Bottle at home from CW online, split with Dave, wee hours of 29/08/21. Lightly hazed golden yellow with a good sized white head. Nose is lemon verbena, herb, straw, basil leaf. Taste comprises fresh basil, grass, lemon rind, herb, hedgerow. Medium bodied, lively carbonation, semi drying close with a light acidic reposte. Decent sour if a touch 1D ... happy to share ... not one I'd want to take down on my own tbh.

Bottle. Beer Stop, Dronfield. Lively pour sits hazed gold, with a thick, lasting, bright white foam. Nose has lemon and lime. Notes of torn basil leaf, although it could be coriander. Some sour milk. Some woody notes. Taste is sharp and tart. Citrus bitterness. Also dry and mineraly. Crisp and clean with lively, foamy carbonation. Sharp and clean finish.
