A sophisticated cocktail of coffee and vanilla, wrapped up in a big boozy stout. Notes of coffee liqueur, burnt sugar, molasses. Serve in a martini glass for maximum pomposity. Barrel aged for 12 months in a blend of first and second use bourbon oak casks. Coffee from Cloud Gate coffee.

4/12/2021. Cask. Norwich Beer Festival. Sample courtesy of SHIG. Pours black with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, biscuit, dried fruit, touch of coconut. Medium sweetness, light to moderate roasted bitterness. Full bodied, slick texture, low carbonation. Rich finish. Very nice.
