Produced by Nethergate in conjunction with Stephen Laing, who runs the Queens Head, Layham, alongside his wife. Stephen is a Falklands veteran, and decided to create the golden style beer "809" as a commemoration of the conflict which happened between April and June 1982.

17/6/2022. Cask at the 30th East Anglian Beer & Cider Festival, Bury St Edmunds. Pours clear pale golden amber with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruits, currants, butterscotch, caramel, biscuit. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness and body. Slightly oily, soft carbonation. Nice bittersweet finish. Quite decent.

Cask: Poured a golden with a white head. Aroma is light fruits, malty, caramel. Taste is bitter hops, fruity, malty and grains.
