A full of flavour and ultra smooth. A real silk almost velvet to the tongue. A loving chocolate finish. It is so good and could really catch you out with the strength

25/9/2022. Bottle bought at the brewery. Pours black with a deep maroon tint and a long lasting creamy tan coloured head. Great looking beer. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, dark fruits, caramel, berries, spruce, slightly nutty and waxy. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness, touch tart. Medium body, creamy, smooth, soft carbonation. Waxy side grew to finish. Good but not their best.

750ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham!]. Jet black colour with average to huge, thick, firm, frothy to creamy, moderately to mostly lasting, moderately lacing, dark beige to tan head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty and somehow herbal-spicy yeasty,, minimally vinous, fruity, hoppy aroma, earthy, woody rotes of coniferes, mosh, dark berries, blue grapes. Taste is chocolately and slightly roasty, dark malty, slightly fruity hoppy, subtle sweetness, earthy notes of dark berries, hints of blue grapes, herbal-spicy, yeasty overtones. Creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, medium to fine, soft carbonation. Rich and deep,, quite earthy - good!
