Draught @ The Imperial, Hastings. Pours dark, smooth beige head. Pleasant roast and nutty chocolate nose. Grainy malt to the fore.. roasty in the right places.. decent but not much of a nitro feel to it at all. Marked down for this, otherwise an enjoyable stout.

Draft at The Imperial, Hastings and apparently brewed on site. Poured a clear almost black colour with a lasting frothy light tan head. The aroma is roasty, light buttery caramel. The flavour is moderate to light liquorice bitter and sweet, with a smooth, somewhat rich, roasty, caramel, light earthy, liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with flat carbonation.

On tap at Brewing Brothers Folkestone. Black dark cola colour and lasting tan head. Some chocolate some coffee flavours. Body is fine. Some depth in malt. Light bitterness on finish. More chocolate mousse on the finish. Yes a chocolate mousse of a beer. But lighter than that. An airy mousse. Fine. Change from the pale ales.

On tap at The Pond, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and light earthiness. Flavour is dry, with toasted malt, British bready notes and a hint of bone dry cocoa. Dry and fairly lifeless. It's fine but nothing special.
