A stripped back malt profile allows uncompromising hop additions to create an upfront, unadulterated bitterness and a zingy fruit hit. American hops dominate with big resinous flavours.

Keg at the Furnace Inn, Derby. Dark gold, hay as hell. Tiny little white head. Tropical fruit scent. Mango and papaya. Not a lot else, but that’s enough. Lovely sweet taste which only hints at a bitterness before retreating and... no there it is again. Long balanced finish withoange candy and more papaya. Very decent.

Keg @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Hazy amber with a thin head. IWithout feeling its strength, this ale has a slightly gritty tropical fruitiness that’s somewhat understated. There’s a heavy dryness to the ale in the palate.

Keg at Cherry Reds City Centre; hazy amber pour with a frothy off white head, aroma has a hint of caramel with some tropical hop action, taste has sweet caramel, some tangerine with a hint of grapefruit, ok.

From the mini fest menu at Flower Pot, gravity, full pint, shared. Clear cooper coloured body, mostly naked on the top. Decent smell of caramel malts and dried fruits. Jam fruity flavours mixed with dough. Malt-fruity bitterness to the ending. A bit heavy to drink, otherwise pleasing (Derby 21.02.2015).
