Can shared at the CBJ tasting, thanks to Kenneth, 12/06/24. Black with a khaki cap that veers edgewards. Nose is charr, roast malts, burnt toffee, molasses. Taste comprises chocolate, spice, candied orange peel, dark malts, roasted bite, modest barrel notes. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light rising boost. Not bad.

Can shared at CBJ - London. Cheers to Kenneth. Pours clear, black-brown with a slight, foamy beige cap. Medium sweet flavour with nice peat character, hearty roast, orange peel, baking cocoa. Full bodied, oily, with fine carbonation. Moderate warmth to finish, a little gooey chocolate, drying ashy roast, subdued peat, more orange essence. Good fun.

Bottleshare at CBJ, Can, thanks to me. Almost clear dark brown beer, very small and short lived tan head. Airy palate, pretty light for the style. Decent fine carbonation. Good candy dark chocolate, the orange is very obvious and floral but does add dimension. Decent Speyside whiskey fruits, not that smokey. Agree with Sinnister, flavoured but not pasty.
