In 1990 Dave Wickett became pioneer by opening the first new independent brewery in Sheffield for 100 years.

Since the first day of brewing people have enjoyed what has become a taste of Sheffield and the brewery has gone from strength to strength. Following this lead our brewers have hand crafted this extra special 25th anniversary IPA.

In Celebration of our 25th Anniversary this year we have brewed something very special! With a limited run of 5000 bottles, the individually numbered bottles are now available from our brewery shop.

500ml bottle from Beer Central, Sheffield - Clear golden body, thin skin of white froth on top. The nose is a wonderful punch of citrus, soft fruits, peaches and a bit of sweet caramel. The taste is bitter, with the hints of apricots, mango, peaches and a hint of grapefruit. Not my favourite brewery round these parts, but not bad nonetheless.

500ml bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Not a brewer whose beers I normally bother with, but I got this in for my Dad when he came round the other night. Except I forgot to offer it. Anyhow, it’s clear amber. Patchy film of sticky, white head. Big on the toffee malts. Sweet, ripe peach. Taste is full on sweet, and pretty much full on bitter, too. Palate is full, and a bit clarty. It’s certainly tasty. Finishes long, oily bitter, with a bit of tooth numbing sweetness. I certainly wasn’t expecting much from this, and it’s a bit sweet, and crystal maltish, but I ended up enjoying it quite a lot. Plenty of boost.
