Geprobeerd op het Brabants Speciaalbier Festival in Oirschot met LiekevdV, Inoven en Roelzie. Het is een diep donkerbruin tot zwart bier. Het heeft een aroma van gebrande mout, hout en brandy. De smaak is vol gebrande mout en brandy

0.33 l bottle from 'Drankgigant.nl', bottled in August 2024. Black with a thin, frothy, quickly diminishing, light brown head. Intensely sweetish-malty, gently roasty, quite fruity aroma of dark chocolate, molasses, dark fruits, brandy and raisins. Very sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity and slightly boozy taste of molasses, dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, raisins, brandy and vanilla, followed by a long, moderately roasty-bitter, gently boozy finish. Full body, smooth and slightly oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Delicious brew, rich and saturating, alcohol well-hidden.

Keg at If It Ain't Dutch. Opaque dark brown beer, decent tan head
Smooth palate, a little airy, reasonable fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts, some chocolate coming through on the back end. Pretty woody barrel. Mellow brandy soaked fruits. Airy finish finds the brandy getting stronger and it tastes like a good one. Nice beer.

Keg at If It Ain't Dutch, Enid Street, 18/12/24. Black topped with a lasting khaki head. Nose is brandy barrel, dried fruits, figs, dates, fruit cake, burnt caramel. Taste comprises dark malts, spice, booze, brandy nip, toffee, toasted brown sugars, herb, cacao nibs. Full bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a rising boost offered. Tidy sipper ... would like more brandy but decent none the less.
