Super crisp and hazy deep copper and amber coloured body with a nice two centimetre tall off-white and tan head that fades pretty quickly, with only a thin layer after a few seconds. Aroma of very rich toasted malt and caramelised sugar notes with some light hazlenuts and peanuts with a light dose of alcohol and earth along with some rustic qualities, but the richness from the malt shows strong in the nose as does some alcohol warmth. Medium to Full-bodied; Very strong toasted malt and caramelised sugar flavours show at first with a lot of sweetness here as well along with a toasted grain and earthy sweetness from some nuts and toffee here, closer towards the end with a dash of the warmth coming from the alcohol at the finish. Aftertaste shows a very rich, earthy, nutty and powerful malty and sweetness quality near the end with a lot of robust qualities and a smooth spicey finish towards the end that has some rustic and nutty flavours, but very rich throughout. Overall, a very nice and rich beer with a lot of toasted grain and malty notes with a good deal of nuttiness and sweetness still here that finishes nicely with a lot of character. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Wegman's in Fairfax, Virginia on 09-December-2021 for US$1,99 (part of a mixed six pack), sampled at my house here in Washington on 12-February-2022.
Sweet cherries, pastry, and almonds. Nutty flavor with fruit undertones. Medium body, not too heavy.
