Cask at the Mill, Ulverston. Purplish black with a big tan head. Blackberry, bramble, grape, milk chocolate aroma. Nice sweet taste, backed up by some fruity and almost tannic bitterness. Surprisingly dry finish. Hints of port jelly. Superb.

Pendle Beer Festival 2015. Black with a small head. It’s a soapy textured stout in part due to the fruit which is evident in both its aroma and taste.
