A deliciously sessionable, hoppy amber ale, with malt and hops in perfect harmony, and infused with a little juniper for that characteristic citrus tang. Botanic is hopped and dry-hopped with a combination of UK Cascade and First Gold hops.

Bottle from Sourced Market St Pancras drunk on a train to Bicester. Hazy amber colour lasting beige head. some caramel malt and earthy hop on the aroma. Caramel malt flavour in the mouth. Some dry dusty hop on the finish. Mostly a malty beer throughout ok if not exactly entertaining

Cask at the ring for the brewery tick. Hazed amber murky coloured pour with a lasting loose off white head. Aroma is nice caramelized sugars, nutty, leafy, woodland berries, and hints of pine. Flavour is composed of nutty, light caramel malts, tangy berry, some grain tannin. English yeast character is pretty good. Palate is medium sweet, decent cask condition. Assertive bitter finish. Some wood.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the Kew Village Market. Pours deep reddish-amber with a thick, creamy khaki head. The nose holds burnt leaves, toasted grain, dried berries. Light sweet flavor with assertive leafy bitterness, some grass, grainy toast, some dry minerals, beat-up leather, earth. Light bodied with average to lively carbonation. Somewhat dry on the finish with a kiss of flinty minerality, more leafy hops, toasted grains, brown bread. There’s a fairly prominent hop profile packed into this relatively slender 3.9% frame. That said, the beer manages to strike a pretty healthy balance. Fans of British hops will find lots to love in this one.
