On tap at Great Notion - Ballard, pours jet black with a small light brown head. Aroma is full of decadent dark cocoa upfront, followed by light cinnamon and vanilla, and just a touch of orange peel. Flavour is decadent and harmonious, with lids of dark cocoa upfront, accentuated by orange peel, cinnamon and a touch of vanilla. Deep dark cocoa dominates. Lovely adjunct-heavy pastry.

16 oz. Aroma has notes of chocolate, orange, caramel, vanilla. Pours black with a one finger tan head with decent retention. Taste is moderately sweet with a lightly bitter edge, finishing dry. Flavors like the aroma with a note of cinnamon. Perfectly carbonated velvety mouthfeel. Nice pastry stout.

Pours a thick, oily brown-black, with minimal head. Aroma is chocolate and a touch of cinnamon. Flavor is chocolate, orange, cinnamon. Very sweet beer, with thick, soft mouthfeel. ABV is well-hidden in both aroma and flavor. Good, though I almost wish it had some hot pepper mixed in, rather than the orange.
