Yuzu and Ugli fruit infusions twisted together with the blueberry, tangerine notes of Mosaic make for a tangy, juicy, zesty array of aroma and flavor. Salivation will instantly ensue with one sniff of this crushable brew (5.8% ABV, 60 IBUs) that was inspired by a Yuzu brew we made with some brewing friends in Japan.

Pours gold into a Sam glass. White head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Yuzu aromas. Soft with sweet ugli and yuzu upfront turning to bitter earth in the lasting finish.

Shaker pint draft at Rye in Leawood, Kansas. The pour is clear golden with a one inch egg white head that is lasting, and leaves behind pretty lace. The aroma is bright citrus, orange fruit sweetness and a bit bready malt. The taste is very much the orange fruit up front, with soft resin dank hop underneath and finishing with a bit of the bready malt. The palate is medium bodied with fine natural carbonation and a fruit sweet, dry resin hop finish. Fresh and tasty.

Pour is a clear golden with a large white head. Aroma is a citrus fruit with some sweet berry in there. Flavor is again fruity with some citrus and some berry. Finish has a little bitterness a some residual fruit left on the tongue. This was a pleasant fruity IPA. I can’t say what yuzu or ugli fruit tastes or even looks like so I not sure what they brought to this beer.

Can from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours gold with a creamy white head. Aroma is fruit and citrus. Mellow. Med body or so. Flavor is fruit and some citrus. A bit puckery citrus wise. Smooth and mellow. Pale stone fruits. Sort of juicy that way. Towards dry and decently bitter. Seems to pick up a bit of blueberry in the finish.

Can from BD Castlegate, consumed in Oldmeldrum. It pours golden with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet, juicy, tropical fruits, lemonade, jammy berry and grape juice. The taste is dry, bitter, zesty, pithy, juicy, tropical fruits, sticky, touch of bread/biscuit, straw and white pepper with a dry, zesty finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Decent enough fruity IPA, but flavours could be in a bit more harmony with one other.

Can from Bottle Baron. Clear golden body with a medium white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of sour grapefruit and limeade. Flavour of lemon, tinned orange and straw. Thin to medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. It feels a bit artificial.

Can from HomeBrewStuff. Clear bright golden body, foamy head fades fast. Light fruity aroma recalls prickly pear. Taste is also fruity, dry, more citrus, oranges. Pretty light.

Out of a can cloudy medium orange Fine lasting off-white head. Lots of clumpy sticky lacing. Very inviting fruity tropical hop aroma. Some of the similar fresh juicy hop flavors as well. A little on the lighter side for the malt bill. Keeping it crushable Very tasty and easy for an IPA
