Metropolis has been one of the the in-house favourites at Vibrant for a long time. We have infused this beer with loads and loads of big American citrus hops, the aroma is one of an IPA and the initial flavours are similar. The end, however, brings in slight chocolate flavours that dwell within the darkness of this grand beer. This is truly special. Enter the Metropolis.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 30th April 2017. Deep sepia brown with light tan foam and scant lacing. Citric hop aroma with soft fruit and mild spiciness. Intense roastiness in-mouth with fruitiness and roast coffee flavours. A lingering roasty finish, but with citrus hop echoes too. Medium bodied with a lightish mouthfeel. Superb!

Bottle at home, 10th December 16. Pours black and slightly translucent. Aroma is sweet, malt, slight citrus. Taste is more malt forward, a little sweet, could do with a more bitter bite. It’s OK
